A contemporary hand-carved reproduction of Guan Yu in his Buddhist form as Sangharama Bodhisattva — armored guardian of temples and the Dharma. Wields the legendary Green Dragon Crescent Moon Blade. Traditionally paired with Skanda in the Hall of the Four Heavenly Kings (Devaraja Hall).

Hand-carved by master artisans in camphor wood with detailed polychrome armor in layered mineral pigments.

A Note on Authenticity & Provenance

This sculpture is a contemporary studio reproduction, hand-carved in the traditional Chinese wood carving lineage — using camphor, sandalwood or aged hardwoods, finished with hand-applied mineral pigments or natural lacquer. Each piece is shaped by master artisans following techniques preserved across centuries.

It is inspired by the iconography and proportions of Chinese Buddhist guardian sculpture, but is not an antique or excavated artifact.
